That artical i posted the link to says to seek medical advice - with chickenpox - if child seems nervous or confused , becomes unresponsive etc
Obviously there is a difference between child not being interested in what you are saying to them being unresponsive - Thats why i asked you - your mothers instinct would tell you which she is doing.
From what you have said it sounds like she is having a rough time with it - but when my LO had chickenpox she was poorly before the spots showed - as soon as the spots appeared the only symptom she had was itchiness and generally been uncomfortable
Hope she feels better soon bless her.
So far as getting menengitus twice - i wouldnt have the faintest idea - you could maybe go to nhs helpline online see what they say
