My 2 year old over the last couple of weeks has started to wake up about an hour after falling asleep, very very very upset and screaming/ crying. She doesn't appear to recognise me when I go to see her and I can't calm her down.

Now I'm pretty sure these are night terrors which are quite normal at her age? But what is worrying me most is that she is shaking uncontrollably from head to toe until she calms down.
Its very worrying and desperately upsetting.

Does her behaviour sound normal for night terrors or do you think I should see the doctor?

Little sister had these night terrors about that age. Just calmly talk to her and reassure her that it's you. They eventually went away. Horrible to see them that distressed tho.

didnt mean to panic you cm, just with kids, you can never be too careful, i always know to go with my instincts if kids are unwell, hope she is better soon xx
