Needing a hotel for LA and San Diego

Options
Needing to book a hotel for LA and San Diego for both places for 2 nights. Any recommedations for local/area and hotel would be great.

Needing somewhere close to the action and in nice area, around $50 a night would be best cheaper would be perfect. And if parking is free that would be a great bonus.

Many thanks in advance.

What are you expecting for $50?

i think judging by the original thread - a hotel room? :)

but your question was exactly the same thought that went through my mind!
when in LA i normally stop in the el segundo area. this is one of the cheapest areas and then you're looking at £50 - £70 a night for anywhere that you don't need to sleep with a gun under your pillow...

Sarcasm doesn't work on forums BTW.

I don't think $50 for a room in a nice area not far from the action is possible.

and i think you'll find that my next paragraph what highlighting your second point.

pointing out the bleeding obviously doesn't work on forums either....

  • I don't think you'd get a hotel for that price. But you may be able to get a motel or hostel for somewhere near that. Try Motel 6.

Near what action in LA? the place is enormous and like others have said no chance for $50. I stay in Pasadena or Anaheim with free parking for about $80 but they are both quite away from central LA.

Well i have got the hilton and the hyatt in San Francisco for $80 a night so i dont think i am stretching it too much with $50 for a good hotel to spend the night in.

Its more the area i am looking for as i will be able to name my own price on priceline to get them at a good price.

I will be in LA for nights of 2nd and 3rd of April and San Diego for 4th and 5th April.

Hi, have you tried Hotwire? I got a great deal for the OMNI in August cost more than the $50 you want to spend but there were cheaper options available. Also for San Diego - try the Heritage Inn Sea world they had rooms for around $50. We are heading to the West Coast too - cannot wait!
