    G is the wireless standard.. ie 54mbps speed..
    v2 is simply a newer version of the same stick.. version 2

    Don't worry about the specifics, a WG111 will do you just fine, no matter what variation it is. Though, newer is always better if you have the choice.

    hi, i'm trying to do the same as the OP, i have installed everything ok but it is asking me for a network key (WEP or WPA), I have no idea where to find it, the router i am using is a netgear DGB111G, i'm not techy at all so if anyone could explain to me i would be very grateful

    it may be printed on a sticker on the bottom of the router or on a letter that you got with the router (if it was supplied by the internet provider

    thanks gaming_guy, on the bottom of my router there is two different numbers, i have tried both of them but they still didn't work, it is a netgear router but my broadband is with tesco.net

    login to the router by clicking https://www.routerlogin.com and entering admin (for the username) and password (for the password) in the box that pops up.

    otherwise if that doesnt work, type 192.168.0.1 where you usually type website addresses, and enter the username/password as above.

    thanks, i have logged in to the router but i cant find the network key, i'm sorry to be thick, its probably staring me in the face LOL, there is nothing with wep or wpa, do you know any other name to look for
