Different names on line rental and Broadband

Hi Just looking for confirmation that this is possible (been advised by BT that its not)

Can I have the line rental in my name and a separate broadband contract in someone elses name at the same address?

With BT you get a combined bill so it has to be on the same name afaik

If you go with someone other than BT for the broadband you can put whatever name on it that you want

The Bt line I use is for a flatmate while I pay o2 broadband on thesame line.

Back at my "parents address" the phone line is in my name and the broadband is in my mothers name...i originally had the phone line in my name a few months later she signed up to broadband online and used her name... that was about 2 years ago and BT have never enquired about the different names.

We have the phone in OH name and AOL broadband in my name. Had it this way for the past 2 years and have just asked them to move it to new address for the second time in this time!

thanks to everyone, i phoned BT and spoke to someone else, this time im told its ok to have my name on line rental, and someone else can have the broadband contract.
