Yes. You are released when you have paid off what is due.0

Liability order means I have a penalty assessment debt pinned to my name of £xxxxxx.xx (massive figure)
The revised converted figure is £xxxxx.xx (much less)
Is the liability order automatically cancelled with the court when the debt is paid off?
How am I released from the liability order?
As kelloggs said... yes your liability order will be paid and then cancelled.
As such, the lo does not go on any public record anyway, so will not effect credit record. Its treated as a civil matter at LO stage, as why its not a legal requirement to attend, and is invitation based.0 -
It goes on your record if they file a county court judgement against you which they can do after they get the LO.0

Under what circumstances would they get a ccj, and how would I know if they obtained one?
Would they tell me that they were going for a ccj?0 -
Okay, they seek to recover the reduced amount? If indeed everything points in that direction through whatever means
What happens to the original Liability Order?
If the Lo was served in a magistrates court, but you are sent a letter from County Court 14 days after hearing takes place. Why would that be? Why not get it from the magistrates court, or is that commonplace?
kelloggs you write

In what cirecumstances, would they do this?0 -
If you don't pay - it is usually the next step but if it is decided that it isn't worth it, they may bypass it.0

I must have been bypassed
Didn't feel a thing!0 -
Just to clarify..
In my case
Lo was passed ( I guess )in magistrates court, but I got letter from county court confirming the magistrates court decision, 3 weeks after.
I still do not know why, it did not come from the magistrates court??0 -
