Are you self-employed and do you work from home? If so then just join in as we chat about what we do, sometimes it is better than talking to ourselves or the wall and we can give each other support and advice.0 -
I have had a NIGHTMARE 3 days... started that new job, and i have worked my 37.5 hours already now and am that exhausted that i am close to fainting. Got fed a pack of lies to get me onboard and I HATE IT!
I am just tryin to work out wether or not i can quit and survive on my self employment job straight away. I dont get my full authorisations through until 2 weeks time, but i can do as much prep until then to get appointments in my diary so i can hit the ground running.
Exhaused and scared... what should i do???NatWest Loan - £12,090.06 Mum/Dad - £14,750 TOTAL £26,840.06As of 01/01/2010 - DFW Date - 01/12/2014 59 MONTHS TO GO0 -
Cheeky - you have only been in the job 3 days and haven't given yourself ample time to start liking it, I have been in jobs in the past where I could have walked out after the first day but then 3 months down the line things have been better and I have stayed.
If you are feeling faint, then try eating more like breakfast and lunch - you cannot possibly thrive if you work straight through without having a break.
Try not to jump out of the frying pan into the fire just yet - give it a bit more time until you can work out that you can survive purely on your self-employed job.0 -
Quick update... havent ebayed anything yet, my housemate needed me to drive him to town this afternoon as he had something big to buy.. hopefully can convince him to help me later.. when ive had a bit more of a rest (back in bed with lemsip) But in good news. I rang the agency who owe me for a job again, they apologised again and said they'd sort it. When I got home I had an email asking if I accepted paypal as then it would get to me much quicker. I replied saying I did and 10 mins later the money was in my paypal account. Now winging its way to appease the bank manager!!
How has everyone else been getting on?0 -
Sorry to hear that you are still slurping lemsip. Fab news about the payment though.
My day has been a bit up and down - I just cannot motivate myself to do these wretched assignments, I know I have to do them otherwise I won't get my diploma nor my logo for my website but I really can't be bothered right now. At least I have started gathering information together. This evening I will design an offer for couples which I shall display at the marquee company over their open weekend seeing as I am not allowed to have a stand and they will hand out my business cards. Am toying with the idea of taking a few postcards along too although I think that would be overkill.
Think I will go and have a coffee - I havent had one since breakfast:eek:0 -
I just want to mark this thread 'cause it's ace.0

Not like wild dogs marking it, though.:p
I'm registered s/e and sometimes work at home. So I guess I qualify!0 -
Completely non motivated this afternoon which unfortunately is not getting any work done. I did a favour for another business who sent me up a lovely box of buns which i have scoffed with coffee this afternoon. Aw shucks. I'll walk an extra lap of the office!
Too much sugar i have discovered does not bode well for my typing skills. I now have something that retails according to my system at £3400 instead of £3.40. Oops0 -
Hey - where's my sticky bun?0
