Haven't checked recently, but M&S buyback rates used to be significantly better than the Post Office. Thos Cook are also worth a try.

A stroll around your local High Street is your best bet - there's no guarantee that the rates you see on line will be the same as in the shop - in fact it's near certain they won't be. Or that the rates won't differ in the same place in different towns

Very few places ask to see a receipt - only if there was a buyback guarantee you are invoking.

I thought that most of the population of Camberwell was Colombian these days... or maybe I'm thinking of Elephant & Castle.

Anyway, if you are going into central London you could try Thomas Exchange Global (http://www.thomasexchangeglobal.co.uk/exchange1.php) just up the road from Charing X station or near Victoria - currently buying at 1.42247, which is a lot better than the Post Office (1.5064). I've heard that there are places around Victoria with better rates - but I don't think they are on the internet.

Can recommend that place in Victoria - Thomas Exchange Global - great rates.

    Thanks for the tip
