Anybody got a good way to clean UPVC windows/doors?

    My neighbour has just cleaned her upvc windows with some stuff what is used for cleaning caravans - think she said .It was put on with a brush and wiped off and now the frames have come up like new plus they`re shiny too.Has anyone tried this or knows what the stuff is?

  • Just clean mine with Jif/Cif and that does the trick for me.;)

    It could be something called MER.... we used to use it to clean our caravan with, otherwise its a UVPC cleaner you get from places like Halfords called Auto-Glyn, there are various types for different surfaces........

  • Have you tried Stardrops? Seems to work for me, certainly gets all the muck off, but I'm not too sure about shiny....

    I've used cillit bang in the past although knew of someone who used dishwasher powder, made into a paste and applied to the upvc. But as kaan_is said, could you not ask the neighbour?
