  • As I said in my first posting on this subject they asked you to call an 0870 to cancel - why? Probably to make a few bob to offset the cancellations.
    What is to compromise? We sign up and give the information freely on their website; get an account number or user name and a password. Others can do it so I don't think rocket science is needed here to cancel an account in what can be four easy steps;

    1)Go to website;
    2)Sign on;
    3)Go to My account;
    4)Click on "Cancel my account"

    If Equifax doesn't want the to compromise, well fine, they could just send out an email in response of the forgoing and ask the recipient to click on a link to confirm cancellation.

    Do I smell a whiff of b******t here from Equifax? Go to Experian, they are nicer to their customers
