Glad you've found some cheaper flights.
MrsC - hugs - I agree with the others - be kinder to yourself. Also it is the time of year to be a bit down in the dumps so not too much of a surprise that you are struggling with that too - I know I am....
Here's hoping the snow either prevents me going to work completely - or gets out of my way - but the current ice, snow misting etc is just getting on my wick now!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Well, having a quick tea break and where better to spend it on the MSE site!
It has been suggested to me too to consider a DMP, and like you Mrs CMR, I have so far avoided that route as I do not want to give up yet. I want to hold my own. I want to be strong and independent and get there without any shortcuts that I feel totally uneasy about. The thing is if you are hanging in there, making your payts, working a tight budget, why change it? This is the worst it can be, with your hard work and determination it can only be better, The DMP option will always be there for you , and at the mo you are holding your own so well done for that.
Not entirely relevent but for my dd's birthday present, she wanted the 4 cd set of the Home Alone movies. Cost me just £14.99. On one of them, one of the lines is,
"Buts are for ashtrays!!"
I love that, plan your course of action and stick to it, maintain your self discipline and focus on your future debt freedom - in this scenario - and you will be ok. Another poster has refered to Jim Rohn who recently passed away. His work is v good. I have one of his books, The Seven Strategies of Wealth and Happiness. Excellent book. I would recommend it to anyone, in fact I may just read it again myself!!
Take care, on that note of self discipline, better get back to work! DD wil be home in the next hour...My debts at LBM (2009)Grand Total £161,983.77.(Incs everything, mtge, cr cards, loans)

Needs as must and all that.....I know how it feels but it feels fantsatic once it's done, dusted and paid for.
Ebay..I need to find this thread as I need to re-start ebaying again..I mean, I have people selling my stuff on Ebay at more than it sold for 1st time around...and I have boxes of spares/samples etc.....yet have I done it yet? Nope....too busy with all the other stuff....so I need to join the Mrs MCMR ebay thread as I am staring at £££ in boxes at the mo.
And I am going to be a real PITA too...have you totted up the monthly interest on the cc yet/.
And I had a thought.....does OH income post tax cover all essentials plus loans plus flights/travel.........sorry to be unclear...everything except cards?
Just wondering as retail is dire Jan to April and I wasn't sure what percentage income you needed to generate yourself on top of OH's PAYE salary.0 -
I think everyone's get up and go just goes in January. You WILL get it back and it's ok to feel demotivated.
Try and look back at everything that you've achieved since you found this board and that you haven't given up and keep on fighting. I know how hard it is and seems so tiring but it will all come to fruition one day.
If the paid work pays more money then finish that and that will be one thing off your list and you can tackle how you think about the rest of the list.
