  • Hi syanide - welcome to MSE! ...trouble was it was a bank transfer, it was only for a fiver but the idea was that I was going to sell the audio book for around £45 on Amazon, I'd already searched it and was ready to get it listed as soon as I got it (plus she was called Emily and Emilys are all sweet and nice) so I didn't see any trouble looming -

I filed the Ebay dispute yesterday and she responded by asking for my address so maybe something will happen now, but she could have asked for my address again earlier if she'd wanted to so I'm not holding out much hope.
  • I love (and agree with!) the thought that an 'Emily' can't be dishonest. But what name would have made you think that she (or he) was dishonest? ;)
I only exist in my own mind - if you can see, hear or read me, you are a product of my imagination.
  • Sorry to hear this AT, hope it all works out. You are right about Emilys - I haven't met a dodgy one - maybe she wasn't a REAL Emily and just using the name to imply trustworthyness?
"Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it. Don't wait for it. Just let it happen. It could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot black coffee."

You've really put me on the spot now! what ever name I suggest there is going to be someone mightly p***ed off with me for suggesting it....so perhaps I'd best not go there.....

Crispy - the bank account was in Emily's name so I don't think that it was an incognito Emily set up to trap the unwary, nice idea tho...
  • so true - you wouldnt expect to be ripped off by an Emily!
:D I understand ALOT more than I care to let on :D
  • someone should set up emilysucks.com emilywarning.com and noemily.com websites to warn others...

actually that first one exists! I wouldn't visit it if i were you though!

I hope you get your item AT. I have a question (as I'm in the same boat). If you filed an item not received dispute and the seller is NARU would anything come out of it?? Thanks
