    FIX these using hijack ~
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Int ernet Settings,ProxyOverride = *.local
    O2 - BHO: (no name) - !!02478D38-C3F9-4efb-9B51-7695ECA05670} - (no file)
    O2 - BHO: WormRadar.com IESiteBlocker.NavFilter - !!3CA2F312-6F6E-4B53-A66E-4E65E497C8C0} - C:\Program Files\AVG\AVG8\avgssie.dll (file missing)
    O2 - BHO: (no name) - !!7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file)

Then go ahead with the AVIRA install

Id suggest updating and running a FULL scan with it to be safe :)

Seem to be running fine - no crashes so far and seem to be running faster.

I'm not quite sure we bought our computer from tesco so got the software with the computer. I think to have it for another year was going to be about £15 but that £15 in my pocket now!!! Thanks again

I always suggest weekly alternating scans with Malwarebytes, Superantispyware and Spybot to keep safe ~

Download SPYBOT (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION' ~ make sure TEA TIMER is UNTICKED on installation)
    http://www.filehippo.com/download_spybot_search_destroy/
UPDATE and IMMUNISE (Make sure it reads ZERO unprotected) and SCAN

Personally I switch off the 'auto' scan function of Avira and just scan monthly or whatever

    Thank AlienRik

I tend to run malwarebytes and superantispyware regularly but assumed they were updating automatically which was obviously not the case so I will keep an eye on that. I will also download spybot and run a regular scan with avira.

Thanks again for all your help.
