just make sure you're not late handing in coursework at uni!
Here for each day late 10% is deducted!

    A module is a class, so like I have 4 modules this semester which are;

    - AI Methods
    - C# Concurrent Programming
    - AI and Physics Engines
    - Maths and Algorithmics

    So like topics/subjects

Lectures - filled up room where you listen to a powerpoint presentation, make notes etc.
Tutorials - classrooms of a few people, depends what topic, where you do class exercises etc. like school

    ----

Sixth form is college but still at school. So the school I went to from Year 7-11 I continued into Sixth Form to do my A Levels, same place.
Ahh, i'm from Scotland so our schools are different! I'm guessing its the same as 6th year at school here then? Secondary school here goes from 1st year (age 11) to 6th year (age 17/18)
but you do your highers (same as A levels) in 5th year and Advanced Highers (don't know english equilavant) in 6th year. Or most people just leave when they turn 16 in 4th year after doing their standard grades lol!

Ahh thanks, so a module is just a fancy name for a subject - got it! theres only 40 people doing this course all in, so i don't think it'll be that bad! Fingers crossed!

    sorry, what does that mean?
    I'm late like every day!
  • That's why having higher education in colleges brings the whole system into disrepute!

like say coursework is in due on 10th march

You end up giving it in on the 17th march

7 days late = 70% deduction in coursework mark!

    hope that makes it clearer

different rules in different uni's though!!

oh i thought you meant like me being in there late. lol
    omg really!!!! thats shocking!
How do they manage that then, do you get a mark for essays then?
We just get a pass or told to change something so it passes. We don't get any marks or anything just now.

Sorry i must sound so stupid, no one in my family has been to uni so i don't realy know any of this stuff!
I don't even know if i'll get in, i need to pass this year first! lol

The work in different modules is allocated in different ways.

    ie: 25% cwk / 75% exam
    50% cwk /75% exam
100% either... you get the picture

This will differ from module to module, course to course and uni to uni I imagine.
