Purchasing all these products 5 times comes to a total of £141.00 - Is it worth stocking up on things you dont need for the sake of £300 of clubcard spend or £75 in store?

I'd be interested to know how you calculated that figure, as my basket total comes nowhere near that. However, I understand the spirit of the comment, and you may feel it isn't...but if there's products you already use, and you're happy to stock up on them, then its great, and as others have suggested, it might be worth changing your usual products for a month or so for the pts benefit e.g use lynx shower gel instead of something else...you'll still get clean after all

PS: Anyone else finding that the text confirmations are quite unreliable in coming through?

I have picked the cheapest possible items from each category, as that is what someone would do if they were just buying for the points. Some of those I would personally spend more on, so that the goods were actually of use to me as well e.g buying sure for men sprays instead of roll-ons.

    Comes to £103.87 for me.

Can I just say though, anyone who is just buying the stuff for the points advantage, please do something worthwhile with the food etc. that you don't want. Someone suggested earlier, jokingly I hope, that some of the stuff they would buy would go straight in the bin, and that is such an unjustifiable waste.

Or you can use this instead
    http://tiny url.com/chxxn6
Note: There is no space between the tiny and url but when I post the address I get !!!! if I remove the space for some reason

Although I'm not sure if tiny url will work with this address until someone tries it

Thank you for this - this worked for me, because the original one did not. I registered for 5 persil, 1 comfort and 2 Hellmans and I received back 8 texts, which I am keeping on my phone. I bought the items this afternoon, and will be sure to keep my receipt.

I am going to wait until Friday when O2 can, hopefully, tell me what it cost to use the internet on my phone today.

DD has a blackberry with unlimited internet, so I will be using her phone from now on.

Like others, I really could do with boosting my points. I bought a car from Motorpoint using all my vouchers, and would really like to be able to pay for next year's holiday, if possible.

If you use a Sony Ericsson phone, look into MyPhoneExplorer. Its a nice piece of software that basically allows you to manage your phone from your PC, including archiving your messages so that they don't have to clog up your SIM card for a month.
  • hi

just been to the tesco and bought some of that stuff on offer. now... correct me if i`m wrong:

there was dove body wash offer discounted form 1 pound 50 p i believe to 1 pound 5 p. for buying that you are sopouse to get 101 tesco points. 100 points gives 1 pound in vouchers. so it like if they where giving it away for free? domestos was on offer buy 2 for 1 pound 50p... so it is even less than a quid and you get 1 in vouchers.

please don`t tell me those offers don`t count.

all very well buying a 730 ml container of persil colour small and mighty at a cost of £3.89 while 250 extra points (worth £10 in deals) are on offer, but after the extra points have gone, the same concentrated product tesco own brand costs £2.28. that is a saving of over £2 per litre.

anybody tried working out the cost per wash of all this detergent stuff in its many guises - powder, liquid, tablets etc? After all, it's only soap.

same with loo roll - calculating a per sheet cost may get a bit ridiculous, but my upper price limit per roll for half decent stuff is 25p. Mind you, if Lidl don't put theirs on offer again soon, I might have to resort to newspaper (free of course).
