Good Evening All
We are Visiting LONDON from March 16th to 24. In between for 2 days (20th and 21sty) we have planned to visit Edinburgh.
We have planned to take 3 days London pass. We have two daughters 14 and 8. Would seek advice how to optimise the london pass and see all the interesting places. Also one day is planned to visit other famous site lilke London eye / london dungeon / Madam tussauds which is not covered by London pASS. ONe day would be for either LEEDS CASTLE or Windsor or Roman bath, I would like your views, which would be interesting for the family and childre.
We are budgetry travellers, and minimise expenduter and maximise sightseeing places. How to save entry fees are also welcome. As advice by Martin tip , I have gone through 2 fore 1` sight ALSO.
Thanks in advace for all of you.

Two years ago we spent a week in London, and bought the London pass. I can't remember all the places we visited, but I felt we had value for money.
Bought on the site, we had travel on buses and tubes within a certain zone included. Went on the Docklands Light Railway (free with card )one evening for a walk round The Docklands.
Ice skating one morning
The Old Operating Theatre which was in the eaves of a church, gruesome for the 14 year old-got a photo of Hubby on operating table!
Chistlehurst caves-very, very interesting, free entry and travel there.
Tower of London-worth the pass for the fast Track entry.
BOGOF on some bagels for lunch
Free cinema one night
There was a ticket in each Pass Book, (I think?), if you spent £20 in Hamleys, you could have a free Hamleys Bear with this ticket. I spent £21.00 (on presents, games etc), and one by one the 4 of us went to the desk with the same receipt, and individual Pass Card, and we all had a free bear each, great for pressies from London.
The Aquarium was good, this can be combined with a trip on the Eye, as they are close by, and also close was Namco Station (arcade type place) the Pass gave free games here.
kensington Place was also interesting, but somewhat boring for my teenage girls. I would have also liked to get to Windsor, but there was no time.
Can't remember all we did with the Pass, but we woule have liked to do more but ran out of time.
Nothing to do with The Pass, but we went to the threatre where Lion King was, about 10 minutes before it started and asked for standing seats, paid about £10.00 each (can't remember price, but it was cheap) waited 'till the lights went out, and found 4 spare seats to sit! But then had to buy a coke, as we'd been on the go all day, and I was dying of thirst....4 cokes £10.00!!
Have a great trip!:j0 -
Toozie -the bits about the bears and the theatre tickets made me laugh so much. Great tips thanks.0

Something else I've read on here recently, and intend to do in the future, is email our MP, asking for a tour of the House of Commons.Apparently they may be able to organise this, free of charge.
Another 'free' bit' of entertainment is wandering around Harrods, and people watching! I had a free facial there-must have looked like a good candidate!
Oh, one of the best bit was to go into The Old Bailey viewing gallary...free. But you can't take a single bag, phone, camera in with you, basically you will only be admitted in your clothes and nothing else!!!
Hubby stayed outside wandering with my handbag with DD1, whilst I went in for an hour with DD2, then we swaped! It was the begining of a murder trial...very interesting.:j0
