Thanks for tip - just booked via http://www.hotel-ireland.com/ got the best price there for 66euros pppn in June for Saturday and Sunday - seems to be quite a bit cheaper than all the other hotel shop bots - and I think i tried them all. The hotel themselves said they were fully booked but hotel-ireland have an allocation of rooms and so can do a deal. I checked a couple of other hotels and they also seemd to be cheaper.

I have spent quite a few days researching hotels in Dublin. We ( 2 adults & 3 children) are going there in a couple of weeks.
The results seemed to be that if you want to stay in the centre of the City cheap does not always mean clean.
I have found ( I think) a suitable family room hotel 40 minutes walk or 10 minutes on the train.
Bewleys, Ballsbridge
The price is £136 for all of us for 2 nights. All of their rooms are 99Euros per night. This does not include breakfast, but I am sure we can find our way around that
The reviews seem good too see Trip Advisor0 -
Try a search on https://www.venere.com - pretty good reviews/maps on there. Plus you can get a 4% discount with the code: BK5HX8W - and you don't even have to pay in advance!
Hope that helps0 -
Have a look on here. Lots of info and as it's a Bord Failte (Irish Tourist Board) site all the info should be genuine.
