Went in January - Holiday Inn on Talbot Street. Just off O'Connell Street where the huge pointy monument is.

Its just 10 minutes from Temple Bar too.

Breakfast is not included so you arent paying for something you may not have if you are hung over !!! Do a search though, there websites which compare all sorts of rooms / hotels / accomodation.

    ade,

you might be better off with this on the travel and holidays board but maybe a board guide will move it for you as it's best not to duplicat posts
    I haven't got one!

I've stayed here, very good value for money, quiet, but central, near bus station.

    Hello ade

I've moved your thread to the 'Travel, Trips & Holidays' board, where it should get more views and responses.

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email !!!!!!.

    Kind Regards

  • Hi!
I stayed at the Anchor Guest House in Dublin (https://www.anchorguesthouse.com) which was well located, cheap (for Dublin) and the service very good. The rooms are a little bit basic but we were comfortable there.

  • We always stay at the Camden court hotel, its a 5/10 min walk from the city centre. Normally we book through a company called Cresta and get a deal like 3 nights for price of 2....Its a lovely hotel with swimming pool et el and although its a 3* I've stayed in 4 and 5* hotels that weren't as good. Or, if want cheaper the Avalon house youth hostel is really really good, clean, cheap and welcoming I'd recommend it to anyone!!!

Also, go to Dublin zoo - its brilliant!!

    Hi

We went there in November and stayed in The Royal Dublin Hotel, very nice too. It was around £60 for B&B I think. Go to the Best Western website and into the Irish hotels section, here you choose the online no cancellation booking and its the cheapest by far.

    Have a great time!

We have stayed at the Anchor twice and can confirm what SG says. It is also on the #41 bus route from the airport.
