Yes I've been very lucky, my income increased by £5K pa and I've put it towards the debt together with cutting back and lots of other things suggested.
I've also just got a new job in the same company with a 1K increase with a review after 6 months after all the training I have to do, so I'm well chuffed, but I have worked my butt offPay all debts by Xmas 12 # 072 £1201.79/£15,105.68:eek:

Oh heck. I think we're winning...if you know what I mean.
Salary £25,300(joint)
Debt £83,000 (not counting mortgage of £32000)0 -
Hmmm. Surely its the free income vrs debt ratio that is ultimately more important. Those that earn big salaries can also have little free income if they have big mortgages, school fees, child care fees, high transport costs.
Then again a footballer on 3 million a year with a footballers wife spending 3.1 million is still in debt.
