Sorry for the newbie question :o But i'm doing my first mystery shop tomorrow and am just going over my papers now beforehand to make sure i'm prepared.

What does left of the store and right of the store mean? And also store number - is this the phone number?

I'm not sure what is confusing you - 'left' means the shop situated on the immediate left of the store you are visiting (as you look at it) and 'right' means the store on the other side. (It might be a road or a house though).

Store number is not the telephone number - some fast food shops and a few other chains do actually have a specific store number which is on the receipt. It ill say 'store number' or similar. If the report is asking for a store number and there isn't one on the receipt just type in a series of 0's.

...Client names are never mentioned on here...

Haha, I actually LOLed at that one. If only it were true, we wouldnt spend half our time telling people to take the client names out of their posts...

For the GAP stamp jobs, I'm suppose to make a purchase of £5. I've sold two things on Ebay and I'm wondering if I could post them in this scenario and then buy stamps to make up the difference of the £5 or do you just have to buy one item for £5.
    TIA

You can buy as many o as few things as you like but it must come to a minimum of £5. I wouldbuy £5 worth of postage stamps and follow the scenario.

Yes, you are correct - you will get the lot ! eg. One of the stamp job scenarios allows you to either make a purchase of up to £x or get a POP card stamped. Even if you only get the card stamped you still get the full reimbursement.
Can I just double-check that you've done the POP and been paid the whole reimbursement before for these jobs? Got a few lined up this week, and have lots of stamps already. Many thanks.

Yes, you can do this. It's what I do all the time with these jobs otherwise it's not worth me doing it. However, this way my ebay postage is paid for by Gyp and I make the extra up by buying stamps. It does say on the briefing notes that you can use postage as your item to pay. I've never had this queried and the one time Gyp rang me to do an emergency stamp job I asked if this was OK to do and they said YES! :T

Yep, I've done many when I've posted an empty envelope back to myself, got a POP, and got full reimbursement.

Unsual for RE but there's still two betting shops close to one another still available. Maybe it's down to the rubbsih fee :D

What I do (because I'm so tight) is save up envelopes from bills and junk mail then just write a fake business address on the front and put "FREEPOST [Random numbers]" on it so I don't need a stamp. Often I find I have enough freepost enveloped from junk mail not to need to do this though. If you are touring a load of shops in your car then the envelopes are great for disposing of any used parking tickets/general litter you have in the car. ;)
