Well I've not been assigned a flight it seems, as I've not had an email from the airline with my ticket details

    :-(

Not surprising given the awkward dates but highly annoying

A lad out of my own heart! Kids these days are just evil. I'm only young and when I was a kid, which wasn't a lot of years ago, we'd not have dreamed of doing the stuff kids do these days! Sure, some of us carried knives - Swiss Army Knives to help in making our dens!

Bricks through bus windows? Nope, we'd have been too scared of the bus driver giving us a beating, followed by one from our parents.

There's too many do-gooders around these days. Ok, I don't agree with parents beating their kids, I've seen first hand what effects it has, but equally kids shouldn't be allowed to get away with stuff.

"Why didn't you ground him - not let him out with his mates for a week?"
"He'd have just gone out anyway, or phoned to Police and report me for imprisoning him if I'd not let him"

    !!!!!!?!

This country is going to the dogs.

    Rant over.

Absolutely! I'm 24 so I was a kid not too long ago (mentally, I still am :o) but if I was allowed out for a meal with the parents (rather than having a babysitter) my brother and I would be good as gold or be threatened with a grounding or something equally destroying for an 8 year old! If I'd have screamed and thrown things I'd have been hung drawn and quartered! I certainly didn't need a Nintendo DS (or Gameboy in my day :o) to keep me busy either!

An old work colleague of mine used to do freelance work part time and never made a profit - The Inland Revenue did phone hin one day and advised him he should close his business as it never made a profit. He replied it wasn't the Inland Revenue's business to hand out business advice, only to collect taxes - They never bothered him again![/QUOTE]

:rotfl:Oh how that brought back memories. A theatre porter I once worked with was getting overtaxed for ages so one day he took his 3 kids and dumped them onto the tax office counter. They asked what was he doing and he said "You have most of my wages YOU bloody well feed them as I can't"

2 minutes later it was sorted. Another friend who pity it wasn't a MS got bad service from a furniture company. One day she sat on the soaf in the shop window and said she wasn't moving. She then produced a placard saying DONT SHOP HERE THE AFTER SALES SERVICE DOES NOT EXIST. So after a few minutes people are all peering in the window. She instantly got her replacement suite. Her new one had fell to bits after 6 weeks.

No wonder someone in England told me when I was complaining loudly at a motorway service station to a MOS who was being rude to me. "You from Glasgow luv. I have always heard it is not wise to mess around with Glaswegians"

I always scan my receipts, then as long as they're not longer than A4 it will all fit on. We bought an all-in-one printer, scanner and photocopier for less than £30 over a year ago, and it's still going strong. Well strongish, after the kids broke the paper tray but not bad for the price.
