I really hate it when people lie and its just your world against the company guess who they are going to believe! One the places I did last week was definatly closed and I had a email saying that it was open!
Last year I had an off licence job from RE. When I got there, it was closed, and had obviously been so for several months because all the windows and doors were boarded up and had old graffiti and posters on them, there were "To Let" and "For Sale" signs on it, weeds growing up in front of the door and car park was overgrown.

I took a photo and emailed it to RE and they said they'd pay me for the visit, as I'd visited in good faith and it wasn't my fault it was closed, but could I re-visit the following week because the Off-Licence group have confirmed it is definitely open!

I replied and said, look at the photo, it is CLOSED for good not just closed that day and in the end they agreed, but I often wonder how many visits I could have gotten away with being paid for!

Makes you wonder, doesn't it ... the Head office of the off licence had obviously asked RE to do the visit, surely they'd've known it was closed down? Madness!!

I usually always take my phone but on this occasion I left it at home! I am revisiting it tomorrow so I am sure it will be open. The funniest time was when a mobile shop was closed and there was a note on the door. I took a picture of it as I knew GYP would query and I didn’t realise that there was a member of staff in there and he came out as I was taking the pic and asked if he could help me

Is anyone else struggling to access GAP this am? Whatever address I use it takes me to update my profile?????
It's working OK for me. I'm using Internet Explorer, if that's relevant. Maybe check there's nothing gone strange in your profile?

I'm using IE too. I've used both my own and work computers and its exactly the same. I notice I don't have a BIC and IBAN code listed... I've been paid by them plenty of times though.

If that happens then say something like you've just got the 'phone and you were trying out the photo "close up" feature.

That kind of excuse is handy when you have to take photos of shopfronts, meals etc.

Why do they call them "sick lines" in Scotland? Weird term for a "sick note" unless I'm missing something??

It is basically a line from your doctor saying your too sick too work.

Why do you English in some areas say "It were raining":rotfl:

No offence meant I was joking.

Can I ask what is "the panel"

In Rab C Nesbit City "the panel" is when yer aff oan the panel (ill)

I wish I knew what the ABA-i panel was - it hasnt provided anything of any real excitement other than some prize draw surveys!

Had an interesting phonecall from Gap today - I stopped working for them at the end of last year after being mucked around by them on cancelling long distance jobs etc. Deleted my details etc. They phone yesterday 'Hi Mike, Its Gapbuster here, are you still mad at us because you havent logged in for a few months. My manager said he would like to talk to you' - Needless to say I cut the conversation dead because they did cost me a lot of money at the end but was amazed when they admitted they dont delete your details even when you fill out the form, they just 'unsubscribe' you from accessing the portal - presumably so they can try and reinstate you in the future .......
