Hey fellow MS'ers! I did a visit to a gym last week for RE, and the report has been accepted and moved into my 'payments due' bit on my profile. However I've just got the following email -

    Dear XXXXXXXX,

Thank you for your recently completed assignment to XXXXXXX

Our client has raised a query on your report.

Please contact us on XXXXXXX and quote ticket number XXXXXXXX

I've just got home from work, so obviously it's too late to contact them now. It will have to be tomorrow. I'm really worried now though, that I might have missed something important and won't get paid, or lose points. I gave them a really good report, so can't think of anything they'd want to argue with - but am just a bit worried! Any ideas what it might be about? Also, if I can't contact them until tomorrow, will they use that as an excuse not to pay me? I've never had anything queried before, so not really sure what it means. Thanks in advance!

ETA - and nooooooooo, just logged on to Grassroots and I have missed the FIRST ever assignment that they have offered me, in 4 months of being registered with them :( It looked like a really good one too, literally 5 minutes from my house, and someone else has snapped it up! I knew you lot would feel my pain, lol :p

Attempting to pay off our debts! Balances Jan 2018 -
    Family member £3,700 - Virgin CC £1,000 - MBNA £1,700 - Barclaycard £2,500 (was £2,700) - Halifax CC £1,280

Don't panic it's probably something trivial.

    TIP
Email them back and ask THEM to call you!
    OR
Ask them in your email what the query is. If it's one query you can reply easily.

I've just had the same from RE. It seems they emailed me while I was at work. They then phoned and left a message on my mobile, but they also emailed with the question that had been queried, so I was able to respond via email.

I'd try phoning them tomorrow if you don't get another email tonight.

Don't worry about the email, these messages are routine and as blindman says, it's probably something trivial. Last time I had one of these it was because I'd mentioned there was some graffiti in the toilets and they wanted to know how severe it was.

They won't mind you not having replied, I've not checked my inbox until the evening and found one of these before, and not spoke to them until the day after, and nothing is said. It's possible they'll call you tomorrow if they haven't heard from you, so be on the lookout for any withheld number calls.

I've never phoned them back. If it's urgent they'll call again or send another email. If they want more info, they should ask for it in the first place and not expect US to foot the cost of a phone call.

I need some advice, I've picked up to two of the aba-i vists in a different town about 30 miles away. One visit is at the higher rate (typical visit scenario) and one is at the lower rate (just visiting one kiosk in that shop).

I'm in two minds if I should release them or not as I don't have other work in that error (schoolboy error, forgot which week other work was for). Taking all this into the account, would you release them or do them? I have a handful of jobs for the rest of the week.

    *grumble* *mutter*

I made the mistake of actually skimming the assignment briefing notes for one of the shopping centre jobs that just went on RE. By the time I got back to the page, it had gone already! :(

If they are that far away I'd definitely release them - otherwise your travelling costs will outweigh the fee itself. Unless you're lucky and can pick up other jobs in the area on the same day that is!

  • Thanks all, that's made me feel much better :) I've emailed them back and said sorry I missed your email, and said I will phone tomorrow - have also asked them what the query was, so I can look through my paperwork. Forgot to ask THEM to phone ME though - damn! lol. Was just a bit worried there, but hopefully it's something trivial...really hope so, as it was a good fee and I'd be gutted not to get paid because of something daft!

Not having a good MS'ing day really - am gutted I missed the Grassroots assignment, and now my batteries have died in digital camera, so can't upload today's burger reciept. Argh!!!
