When it comes to keeping records, do you keep your paper records strictly in date order, for example one folder per month, or do you keep them in client order, i.e. one folder per MS company?
Need to sort mine out, and want to get it in the best possible order so I don't have to redo it at a later date!0 -
If you're still on here - when she rings back, can you ask here when you'd need to do it, if tonight is already full please? Just thought it might help the rest of us who can't do tonight?
What area are you in?

Nor me. They rang me 3 times yesterday.
The first time to offer me a stamp job that I was passing later that day, so agreed to do it and he gave me a pizza job.
First of all he told me I'd done the stamp job there before and after he'd been through it all over the phone and I asked for the exact address, it turned out to 8 miles away, as it wasn't the one I'd done before at all. Fortunately, that was still on my way home.
He told me it was open until 6.30pm and I said are you sure? 18.30 hours, a stamp shop - very strange (especially as it was a little village). I knew I wouldn't get there til around 18.00. So needless to say I get there at 6 and it was shut! Huh! Then I get home to find the pizza place he's given me is actually a weekday lunchtime one that I can't do as I work full time about half an hour away from home.
I think he was just saying anything to get me to do it and has basically mis-led me on 3 counts!
Someone else rings me about about 7pm to say did I get the job done - no, it was closed and she said they'd still pay me and she'd deallocate it. Then a 3rd chap rings me to offer me a stamp shop on Monday for the place I originally thought I was doing in the first place and I said I would only do if passing as it's 15 miles away, so a 30 mile round trip. So he said how much do you want for it? So have said I can do it after work on Tues and he's given me 4 times the usual fee and a petrol job.
Of course I could actually do the little village one at the same time, and have emailed them to say this, but no reply yet. Did get an instant reply to another query last night tho - literally within 2 minutes!0 -

Big Easter tut tut for you jdan
Hey hey hey, hang on... who said anything about them being clients? Not me...!All the client needs to do, to find out who's discussing their MSing schemes is google "John Smith Ltd" and "Mystery Shopping" - if the above post's names are left in, then the client would be brought directly to this thread.
The less client attention we get, the better, surely?
But that's a good point which I didn't think of. I doubt any such googler would bother to read the context of the post thoroughly... Should probably edit the names then.
