Hi Carra - good luck on your 1st shop, it can be a bit scary as there is so much to remember. But it gets better with practice. when you next go shopping (for real) , see how much you remember you will be surprised. Only tips I can give is:
    Stay calm
    Take the questionaire/notes with you
Read over them before you get to the shop
Make sure you know where you are going - if you have street view, take a look there if you have never been to the area.
Take pen paper, phone, anything that you can make notes on quickly once you have left the shop.

Hi I'm also a newbie with my first shop next week. There seems an awful lot to observe. Any tips on how to remember it all, as well as info on the above appreciated. Feel free to pm me. Thank you:A
I remember when I did my first job, it all seemed like an awful lot to do, but you get used to it and it will not seem so daunting after the first one is over.

Print off your questionnaire and fill it in as soon as you can, after leaving the shop. You may think you will remember details, but trust me, if your memory is anything like mine, crucial details will disappear from your head.

I often summarise the key points in a small notebook and take in it with me, e.g. if you need to count the number of open / empty counter, staff name, posters in the window etc. Then write this down immediately when leaving the place, as long as you are out of sight. If you are bad at remembering names, then repeat it to yourself a few times whilst you are still in the shop.

Remember to write down the buildings to the left and right (I'm always forgetting this one). Remember to get a receipt, and put it somewhere safe (I often think I've lost the receipt, then find it in the car).

Fill in the report as soon as you can when you get home. Then relax and reward yourself.

Since I am going into Central Glasgow next midweek I thought I would do a couple of the station food/drink jobs on RE. My question is it says food AND drink. Reimbursement £3. What the hell can you buy in a station eaterie type place for 3 quid. A coffee and half a slice of bread. The notes don't say what the food and drink is and the site is only half working..

Any one done any of these jobs.

Oh and as well as the usual trillion questions they want a paragraph of unspecified length summarising everything about your visit. And it says payment will be delayed 2 weeks due to the way the client wants the report sent. That is their problem not ours. Why can't they pay up out of the millions they have in the bank. Earned by us of course.

So unless it is a tasty something to eat with a coffee they can shove it. I will just pay for a coffee myself and when I get home instead of a tiresome report taking ages and uploading a receipt I can put my feet up and watch Corrie.

    Rant over.:D

If you click on 'Apply for Assignment', it will show the item to be purchased. Most of the ones available at the minute are for a drink only, with reimbursement maximum of £3.

there is usually a very specific item you need to purchase. like a certain size and brand bottle of water.

click on the job and there is a section under the dates/times called extar requirements.

last time i did these the reimbursement was £5 which covered the item. the time before it was £3. i did four jobs and not one item was under £3

    Hi Guys

I'm new to this so joining lots of ms sites. On the Abai i site I registered last night and it had questions about large department stores, and when I got through to the end it showed a large London department store as my client. I see you all posting about other shops, so tried again, and then got a list of fashion shops added to my large London department store as my client. How do you get to see all the stores that they cover ... seems I am only getting a limited view?

    Thanks.
Hi Me too, could someone help out with this one please?

Thanks. Just did that and it is a glass of wine or a lager. So no thanks RE. There were 16 2 minutes ago between the 2 main stations and only 3 left.

Infuriates me. While so many grab these crap jobs with long reports, rubbish fees RE are rubbing their hands in glee and getting richer by the 2nd. Wouldn't be so bad if there were other jobs about meaning I could do a better paid one at the same time but there is nothing much about.

I have to agree, HP. I don't understand why so many people rush to do these low paying (or no fee) jobs. I know they might consider it worth it if they are passing, but are there really so many people who just happen to be passing anyway?

I'd be interested to know the answer. Part of me thinks it's people who are employed full time and don't need the money but get some sort of kick out of MSing even if it leaves them out of pocket. I don't know?????

There really was a mad rush, so much so I missed them all, by the time I got my diary and decided where I was gona be on a given day, they went like hot cakes. I eventually thought; I'll take one as I am passing, clicked on it and it had gone. I won't cry over it as I know the item was 50p more than the reimbursement.

I'm sure this has been answered before but when you do a gyp phone job what receipt do they want you to upload? Just scan the literature I got in the shop or should there be something else?
It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.
