Sorry all I am like a bus don't post for days and do 2 running..

    1) I need a new car. Phoned today and got a price and the guy said "Final offer" More or less take it or leave it. Can anyone doing the Bare car jobs offer advice. Or should I leave the guy with a Glasgow kiss.ie beat him up.

    2) Anyone expert on employment law. Some of you may recall me saying I had kidney stones recently. My doc says it is because my employer ( tap tap supermarket doesn't allow us to drink water on checkouts) So I apparently now have some kidney failure with resultant sky high blood pressure. I cant take my docs advice and stay off work and rest or I get another disciplinary hearing. And due to all this I might need my kidney removed. Mind you I could MS the hospital ( private luckily as I have health insurance)

I telephoned head office and was told this was not true as we are allowed water. Do you reckon we are going to slug voddie at the check out!!!

Being a trained nurse I am furious this company has put maybe my life at risk ( or at least a stroke).

Would appreciate any advice. Sorry I know this is off topic.

Sorry to hear about your condition, its sounds terrible. Have you tried posting on the employment forum, there are some good people giving advice on that site. I wont give my tuppence worth here because its off subject but I will gladly join in on the employment forum.
Couldn't think of anything witty to say so just keeping the space until I can :(

Try from next Wednesday. They all have targets to reach and they probably reached theirs this month.

  • Can anyone help me please?
I have a P.O. job to complete, it is a new one re. an application form for a driving licence being checked, however I cannot find any guidance on how to comlete the form. GB said they would sent me details in the post along with the form, I have received the form but no instructions. (the form must be incomplete so it is refused at the point of checking) Has anyone else done one of these jobs please? I have emailed GB but the job is Monday am!!

Good point blindman I know someone near me ( near Glasgow) who often got offered jobs near Inverness about 150 miles away. Obviously if you work for RE you don't need an O level in Geography. Or anything else for that matter.
Gap are worse for this, they assume anything with the same first two letters in the postcode must be close. I've been asked to do a job 30 odd miles away from me, and to make it worthwhile they'll throw in a petrol job - 30 or more miles in the opposite direction.... Don't they have maps? The LL postcode covers most of North Wales.

Can anyone tell me how I get paid by TERN? I can't see anything on their website.

You invoice them by post; was there an invoice form attatched to your briefing notes?

I'll second that. When you print your briefing notes there is a form you fill in with your claim details. I spent £600 purchasing glasses for them and got the dosh by return of post.

You and I must be the lucky ones. No one else on here seems to have been offered anything.
