The Mystery Shopping thread - VII

Hi
I have only recently started mystery shopping, ten days ago. Can anyone tell me if things have quietened down because its the end of the month? Last weekend I had quite a few assignments booked up, now I have none.
Is this just the way it goes?
Build a good rep with whoever you are with by doing anything and everything then get more choosy as the good jobs come in and join as many Ms sites as you can.
Good luck and keep visiting this site, lots of laughs, some tears, lots of good advice and tips and quite a bit of moaning about some MS sites but all good fun really.Couldn't think of anything witty to say so just keeping the space until I can

I would appreciate some advice.
I've been signed up to Bare for well over a year and have been unable to do any assignments. I do try but they all say that you need 8 or more points and I've only got 5! How am I suppose to get more points if I'm not allowed to do any of the assignments?I have tried applying but have had no response. How did others get assigned jobs?

Well, I have had a good day today. Just got back from bowling with hubby & DS - the reimbursement was really good & we had two games, drinks, sweeties and burger meals
- and a fee for doing it - RE & GAP take note
.
I have also done an audit for a homeware shop this afternoon, which took just over 2 hours to do (inc the report) so not a bad fee there either :T .
It's a hard life isn't it?? Tomorrow I have got a pub drink and then another pub a couple of miles away for lunch. That's what I call a nice weekend :j . Hope you have all had a good time too xx
Sounds great, we are off to do the same tomorrow, really looking forward to it. DH has wanted to take the kids bowling for ages but as one of them is only just about to turn 3 I refused as I felt he would just mess about, now I don't care as it is getting paid for, and will have loads to spend as he goes free due to his age.June Wins - Antandec travel mug0 -

Catch 22 really isn't it. Just keep applying to jobs especially the telephone jobs. My first job I received a phone call as clearly nobody else wanted to do it.0 -

Cheers for that!
It is a stupid system really but I'll keep trying.'Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.'

I would say YES.
When the Hotel jobs are posted I see the one from Edinburgh down to Devon.
TIP
With RE add several areas to "My Defined areas" and increase the drop down box of miles to 50.
Give a wide coverage and catches stuff that RE incorrectly post.
Good point blindman I know someone near me ( near Glasgow) who often got offered jobs near Inverness about 150 miles away. Obviously if you work for RE you don't need an O level in Geography. Or anything else for that matter.Clique member no 1.:D0 -
Your lack of politeness is not endearing!
I'll fill you in anyway - companies register on here as their user name, post a job (for which we're all grateful) and then some unknown person (savemoney I think their name was, last time around) comes along, reports the user for advertising and then disappears.
We all suggested that these companies just register as an inconspicuous name and post the alerts as any of us would, so they don't get reported.
Nads was being helpful and doesn't deserve the resident Meldrew's talking down to. At last count, I'm sure you were no more important (certainly less friendly) than nads, so I have no idea why you feel you can just shoot people down for literally nothing.
I dont like us arguing on this forum ( Christ I get enough on the Rangers football forum ( and don't mention the Scotland rubbish footie team). And I am not a slave to HRW (His Royal Wiseness) but I have to agree with him.
Please please don't let this forum degenerate into a slagging forum. There have been several recently. If you disagree strongly witha poster PM them. I might add I think blindman is a very valuable poster too and is a great asset to this forum. So I am not taking sides here .Considering some of the rubbish I post I probably drive some of you mad too but I try not to insult anyone. I am sure blondman (pun intended) doesn't sometimes thinks before he posts. So lets all shake hands in cyberspace and stop bickering.Clique member no 1.:D0 -
Sorry all I am like a bus don't post for days and do 2 running..
1) I need a new car. Phoned today and got a price and the guy said "Final offer" More or less take it or leave it. Can anyone doing the Bare car jobs offer advice. Or should I leave the guy with a Glasgow kiss.ie beat him up.
2) Anyone expert on employment law. Some of you may recall me saying I had kidney stones recently. My doc says it is because my employer ( tap tap supermarket doesn't allow us to drink water on checkouts) So I apparently now have some kidney failure with resultant sky high blood pressure. I cant take my docs advice and stay off work and rest or I get another disciplinary hearing. And due to all this I might need my kidney removed. Mind you I could MS the hospital ( private luckily as I have health insurance)
I telephoned head office and was told this was not true as we are allowed water. Do you reckon we are going to slug voddie at the check out!!!
Being a trained nurse I am furious this company has put maybe my life at risk ( or at least a stroke).
Would appreciate any advice. Sorry I know this is off topic.Clique member no 1.:D0
