    Hope things are getting better for you & your sister.

    My husband was a very big suprise to his parents (MIL was 42, FIL was nearing 50) he is now the only member of his family (very large family btw) that bothers with his parents. This is something I have noticed a lot with late born children (my aunt had twins at 41) they are always more attached to their parents, so maybe that can be a comfort to your sister.
