  • Hi
The doctors was closed today . We forgot. she has calmed down a bit as our other sister and I have told her we will get it sorted for her. she wants us to keep it from our mum as she is religious and would try and talk her into keeping it. My sister can hardly look after herself and drinks heavily aslo when she gets down which does not help her in the long run.
her hubby is a waste of space but ......what can you say.

My sis always looks on the down side of everything.i ts just her way
I tried the number for fpa this morning also but I think it was closed today also same as doctors.
so will try again in the morning.not sure how long she has got but she is only a week late. but has done 2 tests and theyre both positive.
    its so exhasuting...........

Janet, if shes only a week late then is 5 not 8 weeks pregnant ( I think?)

That s good, more time on her side. I agree, she is certanly lucky to have a sis like you.
    All the best, Arty.

so we got a bit of time to get her seen.
we are going to get on the ball tomorrow and she got an apt on thur with the doctor, buy she wants her hubby to go with herbut he wont go.
asif he played no part in her situation......W*** the F*** !!!!!!

My mum had me at 41 and I turned out ok (so has she!!) ;) But I completely understand if your sis feels that continuing is not a good idea and wish you luck, I hope you sort this out.

oh and at 41 years old, 20 years ago she was an oooooooold mum. Oh how times change!!

I know. There are a lot of older mothers now. My sis already has 4 kids which she is struggling with. Her marriage is shaky ( to say the least ) she drinks heavily and has been depressed on and off for the last 10 years. I mean hospitalized after her husband left her a few years ago.
her mental state is not the best.
I must admit i dont think i would relish the thought of motherhood again either.
at least with grandchildren you can wave them bye bye in the evening....and put your feet up with a glass of wine....

Nothing I can add here I'm afraid, other than to wish you and your sister well. Keep us posted on developments :)

Janet, I think your sister would be better off without her husband when she's at the doc's, then at least she can speak for herself. I do agree he ought to be there if only to get the lecture about contraception.

Good luck with this, I hope that between you you can find the best solution for all concerned.

I totally agree with you, but try telling her that. He is mean to the older 2 kids as well. he likes to control everyone. she is so weak, i could just shake her sometimes. she thinks who would have me....blah...blah.
i said yesterday my sis and i would both go to the docs but today she said he was going so..............................
she is waiting to get sterlized 'cause she asked me would i have the 2 younger ones while she was in hospital, but she had not got word yet so as far as i know contraception was down to him ( as in condoms ) i just cant sleep as she texts me constantly and i at least know she's ok when i get a text...where as i just check my phone constantly when i fall asleep and then awaken.
