Absolutely not. The double whammy of longer life spans and an ageing demographic means that 'the pensions crisis' is probably the second biggest issue facing the Western world after climate change.
Immigrants happen to have higher birth rates (aside of this one!) than native Western Europeans.0 -

Because you have such a beautiful country with beautiful people... laid back way of life, you dont have such restrictive planning restraints...
OK, you dont have all the bells and whistles, shows etc and Europe on your doorstep, but NZ can live without imported food, it has a fantastic climate, fantastic wine, it has a growing knowledge based economy, a points based immigration system, no poisonous snakes or spiders (thats the missus talking), they seem to want to reward hard work more than they do in the UK.
I am not saying its 100% perfect, it may be to quiet for some, and I understand some people need to travel, see the world, meet different cultures, but for me, new zealand is perfection. (Christchurch was so fantastic I wanted to up sticks and move out straight away)0 -
I think we should separate as not all immigrants are equal. Those from outside the EU have to go thru different hurdles etc.
A true debate should focus and identify the various types including the illegal immigrants as well0 -

Do you mean Sharia criminal law or Sharia civil law? Interesting documentary (C4 I think) on this issue the other night. Seems their criminal punishments might out of the dark ages, but their civil system is pretty modern and sensible.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -

MrFonzerelli - i should have gone with my 'gut instinct' and laughed in the first place but in light of some people views on this topic, I apologise for being a bit sensitive to the comment
