Looking for a place in the south east (pref Herts/essex) where I can get my missus close up to black and white cows. Maybe an open farm or something. Nothing rare breed (cows, not the missus). She just wants to see/touch/hug a frescian.

Have you tried the Gaucho Grill?

just a note to the OP, i spent some time on a farm when i was little and you should do my favourite thing (this is not a weird cow fetish... i promise!) while your missus is hugging her fresian, get her to touch the soft bit in between its nostrils, its all soft and lovely... like velvet!
about 25 years later and i still remember a cows nose! :rotfl:

    you served 25years for that?

    a very a-moo-sing thread.
although some people are trying to milk it for all it's worth.
And the midlands is the place to find cows... down south? pull the udder one

this however is a true story.
walked in to a calendar shop in the US. The first calendar I saw was a cow one... I burst out laughing and showed the misses.
I guess we've found the target market!

Godstone farm in Surrey (just off J6 M25) has huggable black and white calves at the mo - they are sooooooooooooo soft. And baby lambs, but the cows are beautiful. (not sure if they are fresian, but definately black and white).
