Looking for cows...

Looking for a place in the south east (pref Herts/essex) where I can get my missus close up to black and white cows. Maybe an open farm or something. Nothing rare breed (cows, not the missus). She just wants to see/touch/hug a frescian.

I had a chuckle when I read this as I am looking for something similar - I LOVE COWS!!! Hubby said I need my head examined, anyway we have found a website called featherdown farm holidays and the idea is you pick one of their selected farms and stay in an uber posh tent(not really a tent as there are real beds etc) Some of the farms also have the option of a private chicken coop to feed you own hens for the week/weekend and then collect the eggs that are laid!

Maybe I should just go away with your wife and we can hug cows together!!

Thanks everyone... I'm more looking for a day trip rather than 'a night with the chickens'

Maybe some at Lee Valley Park Farms. They've got a milking parlour where you can watch the cows being milked.

just a note to the OP, i spent some time on a farm when i was little and you should do my favourite thing (this is not a weird cow fetish... i promise!) while your missus is hugging her fresian, get her to touch the soft bit in between its nostrils, its all soft and lovely... like velvet!
about 25 years later and i still remember a cows nose! :rotfl:
