Everyone reading posts throughout the forum is warned not to take anyone as posting the "gospel".Anyone can post so always exercise caution when acting on info0

If you read my post I did said most Insurers and the majority of impounds.
For the record there are some Insurers that do insist that the vehicle you are driving under driving other cars does have to have insurance on it.
I made my post and this post as you "Categorically" stated that a vehicle does not have to be insured for it to be covered under driving other cars extension. I deliberately used the words "Most" and "Majority" I did "Categorically" state all Insurers or all Car Pounds
As Quentin rightly pointed out the posts on MSE are not gospel but advice, I was concerned a member of the public would read your post and sods law be with an Insurer that insists the vehicle they are driving under DOCs must be insured.0 -

Well if they had read post 13 of this thread also I'm sure they would have checked their wording accordingly. Sorry it seems to have gone off topic slightly and I have also gotten my knickers in a twist without real reason. I think we are both singing from the same hymn sheet although in a slightly different tone lol!0 -
The worst scenario in these discussions on driving another car under DOC third party only insurance is that someone reading may think it's always alright to do this (without realising that the car needs its "own" insurance as soon as it is left on a public road, irrespective of whether the small print in the DOC insists on it or not).
Then drives their friend's car using DOC, parks up somewhere and comes back to find the car impounded etc!0
