I do not understand the whole peg must match phenomenon...... Im going to make myself a snazzy little peg bag for my washing line. Feeling rather crafty.

I have finally started on the windows upstairs. Did bedroom and bathroom, but thats it. So one star!!! Am off to potter around downstairs and carry on with my lists. Waiting for it to warm so i can get out in the garden!!!

Love n hugs to all who need and want them xx

SarahS she sounds like she has 'wonderful' parents NOT. There is no way either of our kids would stay out overnight without me knowing where they are and how to contact them. Plus I would drop them off and pick them up myself. I would also speak to a parent of the child they are staying with to make sure that the sleepover had parental consent! Sounds like the girls had a great time at the resturant.

Mondays are Marvellous!! - kitchen and dining area DONE
Twinkly Tuesday - Living room, hall, stairs and porch! DONE
Thursday Thrills - Bathroom and Study.. DONE

Three lists complete! :D:D:D :j :j :j Marvellous. Made a start on DD2 & 3's room, and our bedroom isn't too bad at all, however, it's not likely to get done this weekend. Ah well, next week will be here soon enough.

We spent last Sunday whipping the garden back into shape. It's so lovely being able to go outside now. The children love the trampoline, so they've been on it everyday. I've been pegging washing out... :D Ace!

ETA : I'm so glad it's not me then. I was really upset about it. The other girl's mum phoned me, and brought her girl, and came in to meet us, (and hopefully gave the place a quick glance over... I would have !!! ) The other one's Mum has no idea where she is, or what she's doing, or who lives in our house! And if I hadn't phoned wouldn't have any idea if it really was a 12yr old's sleepover she was at. Honestly, it makes me so upset.
Anyway, the restaurant was fun, and the food was good. All in all a great success.

S'pose I'd better get up, mix them a vodka martini, roll them a joint or two, and show them how to shoot up heroin, give em pack of fags and a lighter, and suggest they build a BBQ in the back garden and use a can of petrol to light it............................. what???? :rotfl:

My little one is 7 so its not quite the same a being 12 I know, but he has been to play and for dinner at kids houses that I havent been in. Dont get me wrong, I know the parents, address, contact numbers, etc etc but I havent physically been in the house myself.

Because I work full time, if some of the other kids want DS to go to their house for tea for example, the mum normally picks him up from school with her own child and he will go for tea. I will then either go and pick him up when i finish work, or the parent will bring him home when they are done, depending on what suits the parent obviously. I think that staying over is an entirely differnet thing altogether and quite frankly - you could be anyone.

I know its wrong to sterotype but they are the sort of parents whose kids are hanging around outside shops terrorising people.....their parents have no idea where they are or what they are up to.

SS I'm with you on the sleepover. DS1 is 15 and there is no way he'd be sleeping over at a house where I did not know the parents and what's more he wouldn't want to!

Right they are all out at footie now so off for a lovely relax in bath - just praying there is hot water left!

    Morning Dusty

Have a hug for when you have to tell your children about Nan. This might be useful, I posted it on the What to do when a partner/spouse dies thread. It originally started as a result of Stormy's thread but a lot is relevant to a lot of situations. HTH

Thanks sweetie, could you test the link for me as my pc wont find it but that could be my pc.
