Sorry for my absence ladies (though I'm sure I wasn't missed!) - why is it that I always start the week well, but by Wed/Thurs, it's all gone boobies up? Ah well, I'm sure it'll come with time. Having 2 littlies home almost full time and not getting really any time sans children doesn't help, I get so much more done in the rare moments that one is at pre-school and the other asleep! :rotfl:
I also baked some shortbread with DD1 this morning, with the lovely idea of tying it in a ribbon, and sending it to my Mum with homemade daffs & cards (she lives 130 miles away) as a moneysaving pressie, but the darned stuff broke as soon as I put it on the tray. Obviously that means it won't travel well. So I ate a piece. Or 2T'was delish!!

Evening ladies
Back from the hospital and Nan is very poorly and not conscious (sp) the whole time we were there. Thank you all so much for your good wishes.
Toots I hope the treatment works and that your muscle tone has improved
G&B sorry to hear of your FiL diagnosis, how is your DH taking the news?
Soappie I'm glad BB has forgiven you and how nice to have an insight into another culture's festivalsThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Suzieq - hello love - what a lovely thing to think of for your Mum even if it didn't work out quite how you expected!
And don't put yourself down ! You're doing the best job in the world - bringing up two little ones. There'll be time enough for housework once they get older.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

All caught up with you just in time to go to bed!
Sounds like you have all been busy/had fun on the other threads lol
Sorry not to name everyone individually, flagging here now but want to give hugs to you all; those facing challenges at the mo, those who are under the weather and those who could do with a hug just because
It's been a long day at work (understaffed yet again) and then taxiing for W to beavers and back and Miss A to bellringing and back. She is doing really wellW is going to be invested at Beavers next week, cue camera and cheesy grin!
Hope you all have a good day tomorrow, will catch up at the w/e if not before. xx
ETA Huge Hugs to Dusty, just seen your last postOfficial Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -
But, I'm off to bed. The dog is snoring (again!) and I'm pooped from all the worry coupled with almost constant flying.
Sleep well everyone and may your god be with you.

DH is fine, he never really shows his emotions to be honest.
Phoned my work and told them i wouldnt be in so one less thing to worry about.
Dont know if you have had a chance to catch up toots, but if you are reading this we're all thinking of you. Hope you are ok.

Hello everyone
Have had great fun reading but not posting this week. I particularly enjoyed yankee tart debacle! :rotfl: Sothanks for that Triker.
I'm feeling much more relaxed than the beginning of the week - work is calming down or at least I am calming down about it. And tomorrow's my home day so getting my broomstick sharpened ready for flying. Top priorities: laundry (where does it all come from?) and restocking cupboards. Myriad other things too - thanks for the lists pigpen. You're not thick, you're fab.
Hugs to all esp Toots - rest and recovery vibes to you. Also v glad for you Soappie that BB's OK.0 -
I'm shattered, so I'm afraid I can't remember who needed hugs for what!
soappie - glad your doggie is home safe and sound. Sounds like she knows you feel guilty and will take advantage shamelessly!
Toots - hope the treatment went OK. Take it easy - you don't want to undo all the good work
(((hugs))) for Dusty & her family, and more (((hugs))) for GnB & her family
Well done to everyone who has managed to fly today.
Nothing done here. £300 raised from cake sale today, and they've got a few bits left to get rid of tomorrow. I've got a boot full of grubby cake tins to deal with!
House is not in great shape (I think there is a spider in my wardrobe, which is very stressful and means clearing the whole thing out!), and my mother is coming to stay tomorrow, but I'm not sure I'll be able to do much to improve it before she gets here, as I have a gym appointment at 8am (I'm being weighed  ), then have to leave at 3ish to meet her in London at 4. And in between I have to do some work!
I've also worked out my training plan for the 20 mile walk, so it's ready to start in just over a week's time. It doesn't look too onerous, so hopefully I'll actually stick to it!
Must get myself sorted out and go to bed.0
