Can you not pick one up at a breakers? I'm a (relatively) new car owner, so may be talking twaddle!! I broke a tail light on my car (I was ambushed by a barn :D ). A replacement "ordered in" would have set me back £90  . I managed to pick on up at a breakers for £12, and the lovely chaps fixed it for me too....I was prepared, and had already looked how to do it, but they laughed at me sat in the boot with skirt & high heels....works every time;) .....

Soappie, go to a breakers. ZCC72 is right. They are hell of a lot cheaper. Very easy to fit too. You have experience! (Ok, I am a mechanic, so easy for me to talk!)

Soappie ((hugs)) and for BB too bless her. Sounds wonderful sharing in DiLs celebrations :) We just get people preeching at the door here which drives me nuts.
toots ((hugs)) hope you are ok
    mozzy fingers crossed for you
Dusty, hugs for you and your Nan

Sorry can't catch up properly due to needing to study. I do hope you are all ok and flying much better than I am. Must get these assignments done, housework can wait, keeping everyone fed/clothed and place clean enough so we don't get bugs but anything other than that will be a miracle I think.

Catch up with you all soon I hope xx

Egon - yes, I have experience. And experience (and my hands and nails which have only really recovered from the kitchen floor tile episode in the last week or so) tells me what the heck - just get it done by a very expensive man! I believe the car is not legal to drive at the moment but I'm going to chance my licence for the next three working days and if I get stopped, plead ignorance.

Boddy - yes 21st is the vernal equinox, but it seems the actual Persian (which is DiL's family's roots) New Year (No Rooz) starts just before midday tomorrow. It really is a very fascinating cultural thing. Seems the women scurry around spring cleaning everything in the run up to it. Even totally redecorating and changing furniture etc. Then it's days and days of people popping in to visit each other and eating and celebrating. On the 13th day, they all leave their houses and go and picnic and stuff. All harks back to Zoroastran stuff. The food is amazing!
