reconditioned phones
I am looking at a reconditioned phone clearance deal from E2Save. Having never bought a recon phone what can I expect.
From the blurb on their wesite I am reading it that they are not second hand just ex demo or mail order returned?
Any got an experience they can share with me?
Thanks

I received one from OSPS and it seems as good as new. Can't fault it at all. As you say its likely to be a returned unit under the 7 day cooling off rule. You aren't guaranteed any accessories that come with the phone but my SE W800 came with everything except the memory card (and a call to OSPS got that sorted out) You won't get the original box either, phone is shrinkwrapped to some cardboard.0

I've bought them from Virgin in the past, looked brand new to me and no problems as of yet2p off is still 2p off!0

I had 2x nokia 7600 from carphonewarehouse last year. They came shrinkwrapped to card as someone else has already said along with instruction book and charger. Looked like new to me though with no marks scratches etc. I certainly wouldnt have any hesitations about buying another. One of mine must have been used and returned at some point though as it had someones pictures and videos stored in the phone. When i was playing about andlooking through it i saw quite a few (nothing dodgy im pleased to say) including a cute picture of a boxer dog wearing a hat!! So if anyone out there has a boxer dog and also a grey and white cat which was on another picture!!0

Got my girlfriend a V3 Pink, although they do V3 Blacks as well, which arrived yesterday. Its on an Orange 12 month contract, 12 months FREE!!! Costs £20 a month with 1000 mins of peak and you send back 4th, 8th and 12th bills and get cheque for £80 each time!!! Absolutely perfect condition, in fact she thinks its a brand new one and they normally come shrink wrapped!!!:T
One wonders where one can save next :rotfl:0 -
I have also bought several reconditioned phones from Virgin for my kids and myself ~ never had a problem, they come boxed with everything you would expect in perfect condition.“I tell you, we are here on Earth to fart around, and don't let anybody tell you different.”

I also got a Motorola RAZR V3 Pink which was "clearance" stock. It was in mint condition; it came with the original box and all of the usual accessories. The phone was still wrapped in plastic and it was unmarked.0

Can i please ask jaffacakes and leejay76 if the v3 phones are locked to orange or not? I have seen this deal and am tempted as thats the phone that both my daughters would like as a replacement for the 7600 i got them. I was wondering if they could be used on o2 though?0

edit of my own post- it came at 8:30 this morning, the only clues that it was a recon was that
1. it said so on the box
2. virgin wrote the instruction book, rather than it being a samsung one (don't know if this is standard anyway
)
3. only 1 battery (samsung used to give out a standard and a slim battery- this only had the standard one)
the cheapest i have seen the x640 for is £69.99 at argos, seriously though if it lasts the 6 months warranty, then i will be over the moon.things arent the way they were before, you wouldnt even recognise me anymore- not that you knew me back then
