to be fair they only removed the toll booths on the M50 last August so if you weren't down over the winter you probably wouldn't be aware that its toll booth free now and that you are obliged to phone up and pay

The whole thing is very badly signposted. I only found out about it from a friend a few days after I drove through it for the second time. That was in November, I haven't heard anything from the powers that be.
