    Like what?

Steering racks are a seriously common failure and not cheap to repair.
Rust IS a major problem with them - i'm talking MOT failure due to rusty sills.
    Heater motors burning out.
    Noisey Tappets
Spark plugs stuck in the head
    Sumps rust through
    Faulty Idle Control Valves

    Need i go on?

Racks - Yes a common failure.
Rust - Not as common as you'd think.

Heater motors? Heard of Broken valves and controls.
    Tappets - Poor maintanence.
    Spark plugs - As above
Sumps - Never heard that one
Idle Control - Needs a bit of carb cleaner.

I viewed one at a garage and the engine sounded tappety so I knew not to bother.

This one the engine sounded fine and there is no rust, it's been well looked after.

If it gives up and dies I'll let you know, I'm praying it's a bargain!

I agree with Keith above, the wife's on her second KA, no problems whatsoever over 5 years.

I picked it up earlier tonight and so far I'm delighted with it, it drives good (or maybe that's just my superb driving!), sounds fine.

Just got to get used to not having central locking anymore and having to put the seat forward to let the littleun in and out!

Oh and it passed it's MOT without needing anything.
