how to find how much property sold for?

hey, Yahoo used to have a neat little property tool showing how much property had sold for in an area, but it seems they have discontinued this service. I've googled it and came accross the site nethouseprices.com but its not as detailed as the Yahoo one was.

Any recommondations on where to find a better service?

What is it that nethouseprices.com hasn't got? I use www.houseprices.co.uk and find it good but never used the Yahoo tool so don't know what else it offered!

I use https://www.aboutmyplace.co.uk it's free and has a good 'bird's eye' tool also.

type in the postcode, then zoom in till the house prices option is available and it will list each house price without having to register to use it or anything else.

Yeah, what did Yahoo have that the other(s) didn't?

I used all those mentioned by posters above, but mainly Zoopla these days, just cos I like the way it presents the results.

However, all of these sites suffer the 2 or 3 mth delay whilst they get info from Land Registry or Registers of Scotland, as a monthly update. In my area, the local paper gets a weekly update from Registers of Scotland, and I also see the prices there first, before they reach Zoopla and the others....

https://www.ourproperty.co.uk goes right back to 1995 sold prices.

nethouseprices only goes back to 2000.
RENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.
Read the sticky on the House Buying, Renting & Selling board.

  • Or pay £3 I think at the Land Registry

They throw in the name of any Lender with a charge on the house.

I tried to search by city only (which in my case is Aberdeen) but it returned all results for "Aberdeen" plus those for "Aberdeenshire" so unless you search for a specific street then there are endless search results. Unless there is a way to search by City only, which I'm missing? Also the search results returned, many do not return the street name ("No street name" is displayed along with the price)

houseprices does it by date in a list for a postcode eg:m40 which is fab.
And works for street name and town.

I can't see how to do this on ourproperty though
