Orange free mins
Hi there,
I've recently ordered an Orange contract (Plan 200) through Chatterbox.
It comes with 200 anytime xnet minutes, and also 3000 weekend mins
I was wondering, with the free 3000 minutes weekend minutes, would I be able to call the 07744 974404 international dialling access number as part of my 3000 free minutes on the Friday night, or would it come out of my 200 weekday minutes? (In reference to the first 6 months only, ofcourse).
"3000 Weekend mins are applicable for the first 6 months between Friday 7pm and Monday 6am"
I'm aware that the 07744 access number isnt accessible on weekends.
Awating your wisdom.
Thanks.

the 3000mins is xnet so it should come out of your free minutes from fri 7pm til 12pm. The website shows that the number can be used to call certain countries 7 days a week so what do you mean that it isn't accessible during the weekends, haven't used it myself so would appreciate feedback on its usefulness

Thanks

By not accessible at weekends I meant for the places I'm planning to call (the middle list on the website). I should've been more clear.
I'll post my weekend experience here in a few days.0 -
meant to press reply and took a wild guess whilst page was loading and got thanks button instead heh - anyway I digress - which country are you calling if you don't mind me asking? Might be another number that would work during the weekends for it.0

It may be worth checking with Orange whether your calls (even if made during the weekend period) are taken off the 200 anytime minutes first, before the 3000 minutes allowance kicks in. Let us know how you get on

Well my first advice DONT ask orange, they will just miss lead you. They are told to say that its Calling card number and will be charged, but that is NOT true.
Calls to these numbers comes from your inclusive X-Net minutes. (200 in the week, 3000 on weekend in your case)
I have the same contract and I use the 07744 numbers to many destinations.
If you call any time from 7pm Friday to 7am Monday the 3000 minutes will be used.
Some providers define the "middle list" as 6am Monday to 6pm Friday. So you wont be able to use access numbers from some providers to call to these destinations.
However number listed on these sites below allow calling "middle list" between 00:01 Monday to 12PM Friday
http://www.akdial.com/
http://www.simply-fone.com/
http://www.cheapestinternationalcalls.com/free-calls-mobile.htm
This means you can use those 3000 minutes on Friday 7PM to 12 Midnight
and again on Monday Midnight to 7am in morning.
Thats 12 Hours of calling time / week.

Those other two are S-F affiliates anyway, so there will be no difference of available destinations. There are several other providers though, who may have the coverage the OP wants.0

You are right, but if cube can tell which destination he is after, somebody can dig for a provider with weekend access.
As an example some of the common destinations in "middle list" of all providers are India, Pakistan, Bangladesh. There is no provider for weekend to these destinations. I would be happy if somebody know any provider offering these destinations on weekends.0 -
Hello,
Thanks to everyone who has posted so far.
I think webkami's reply is sufficient
Just for reference: I'll be phoning India & Burundi.0 -
Can I assume that using 18866/1899/18185 through their local (0207) number would be free under the Orange off-peak plans?
Are Orange able to block these numbers?0 -

Thanks mate for kind comments,
I have got many friends trying to get Calls from inclusive minutes to India.
most popular amoung them is the Orange Off Peak X-Net 1000 plan.
Better value than Your Plan 200 for india.
5 days 7pm to 7am calls from Inclusive minutes.
You might be interested in a deal like this
