I joined the company in January 2005 and if you read the reports on this site back then they were a fantastic company and highly recommended by a lot of people on this site.

It's good to know you got on. If you hadn't managed to get online via bb, I would have suggested that your computer might have been attacked with spyware and other crap, preventing you from opening up a browser window. When I first got onto the internet via bb I didn't have a firewall and although I could see the packet data sent and received I couldn't open up IE as I was being attacked with spyware and other crap preventing the window from being opened. After going into the control panel to see the nasties that had been unknowingly installed on my computer, I deleted them and I could go back online. Got myself a firewall, reinstalled XP and my firewall then went online to get some other security stuff for my pc.

A point to note is to make sure you got the latest versions of Internet security (e.g. a firewall, anti virus, ad-ware/spyware protectors etc...) now you have broadband to protect yourself better against these attacks.
