Hi,
Sorry, this is a bit of a random begging post...
I am a massive fan of MSE and a bit of a lurker on the forums, from which I have gained a wealth of moneysaving tips. So the forum sprung to mind when I was racking my brain trying to think of sources for sponsors.
I am doing the Great North Run in September, running to raise money for Bliss which as a neonatal charity which provides help and support for babies born to soon, too small and too sick, and to their families. It is a cause that is very close to my heart as I had a nephew who was born at 28 weeks and my mum, before I was born, had twins who died at a few days of age. I have also worked in a neonatal unit, and although there is a huge amount of amazing work done, I know how valuable Bliss is to families at such a hard, stressful and sometimes tragic time in their lives. At the moment I can't even jog 2 miles so have a long way to go!
Soooo... A bit of a longshot but was hoping that if some of you lovely moneysavingexperts were feeling generous you might take 2 minutes to visit my fundraising site at www.justgiving.com/ruthashman and donate even just £2. I know it's a bit early, and not the best timing with comic relief at the moment, but really want to get started to let me raise as much as possible and to give me the motivation to get out training. And for those who can't afford to sponsor me even messgaes of support are a huge help.
Thanks for your time!
Ruth xxx
