Itemised Billing

Hi,
I was just wondering, if I take out an O2 contract with CPW, do I have to have itemised billing? Also if I cancel it, will it affect the cashback conditions?

Any help would be much appreciated!

  • I think that you should be able cancel it and register to view your bills online, on the o2 site. I think it shouldn't affect your cashback as CPW just need copies of your bills. However, I think that some companies (I think its was CPW) said that they couldn't accept a printed online bill as it does not have your personal details shown on the online bill (just trying to be more awkward and maybe trying to get out in paying out your cashback).

Some other MSErs will try to clarify it better.

Also remember to go through Quidco for bonus cashback.

Not having itemised billing shouldn't affect your cashback but I'd check the t's & c's just in case. All thats different really is that you don't get the break down of your bill, you just get page 1 stating how much you owe so you still get a bill. Itemised billing is also free if you're on a £35 or above tariff anyway.
  • I'm on an O2 contract without itemised billing. This only affects the paper bills and you can still see the full itemisation online.

No problems with getting cashback payments either, I'm with Mobileshop for those.

I just got a CPW contract. They seem to have their own "Online Billing" website rather than using O2's Online billing http://mycarphonewarehouse.com

I have gone through the T&C and you can cancel Paper Itemised billing to save money and still will be able to get Cash Back. The site's FAQ says same thing.

You will recieve the 1 page bill. Send your Bill's COPY to them for cash back. CPW accepts Bill's copy. They also give you 60 days to do so. So if you miss once you can still send another copy.

My QuidCo says I got £28.5 from CPW :)
  • Ok I appear to be missing something here.

I took out the L6 on CPW on the leisure time contract at £20 per month.

To save for paying for itemised billing, I thuoght I would change to O2 online billing, however it appears that they operate two seperate online billing systems.

You can have online itemised billing for 99p or standard online billing for nothing.

when I asked why was online itemised billing the same cost as paper billing they couldn't tell me!

So I asked whether you could therefore have standard paper billing without the itemisation and the response seemed to be that it was possible at no charege however I got cut off before I could respond.

Did I just get someone on their customer services team who was clueless or are O2 just ripping people off if they want online billing by charging for this!

i got the same deal twice from cpw, i signed up at mycarphonewarehouse and i do remember it mentioning free itemised billing (Although its never yet showed me my unbilled calls!). Think it might be wise to call cpw and ask for advice, i think the number is 020 8896 5000 (switchboard) ask for customer services for o2 network.

Although the system O2 Online have is not perfect but the Unbilled Calls feature is great. Tells you exactly what you have been charged for and what was included in Package Plan.

I havent got my first bill with CPW, so all I said was based on what I got from the website FAQ and T&C.

Local CPW called me on my num 2 days ago but I missed that.

    What time they finish?
  • The itemised bill that you have to pay 99p for is where it lists all the calls and texts or whatever you have made during that month (similar to the o2 online version-Bill details). The free itemised billing just shows a breakdown of the monthly costs, e.g. cost of monthly line rental before VAT, any add ons, VAT amount and the total charge for that period.

Like Jarlawuk said "Itemised billing is also free if you're on a £35 or above tariff anyway."
