  • Thank you very much 10past6. I appreciate your reply. Thank you.

Would it be correct to add, Furthermore no one of the name '**** ****' has ever lived at this address.

    Please let me know.

    Thanks
  • :D We posted in stereo. :D

Incidentally, I do have an outstanding debt - but IJ aren't getting a penny because it doesn't tally with the actual figure ie it includes their hidden fees - for that amount. Just thought I'd mention that for anyone else reading this thread, wondering what's going on. Or rather I used to have it but was settled. So, do excuse when I see things like that appearing on a forum when I just happen to be online, containing remarkable mispellings of my real name ... but then for all I know it could be someone I used to live with. Borni. Because if you hadn't removed it, I went downstairs on the phone to someone but came back to read. So just be careful in future. Because as it's happened twice now on this forum this week, not randomly I will take action if I see it again here. :)
Any help, opinions, views I may hold those are my own. Respect them as you would expect the same in return. Offered freely, is gleaned from a lifetime of experiences, knowledge gaining. Passed on to benefit others. I may be direct, ask you questions but those are to help you. Up to you if you choose to take it. I won't judge you either way.

Just return the letter they've sent (take a copy first, just for your own records)

And don't give your real name on the template letter, give Fred Smith or something.

  • I'll take that under advisement but for future reference be careful what names you post here in case they ARE connected with a member. That is all. If happens to be 'similar' to my real name then, clearly, I am going to start asking questions seeing it up there on a public forum. If I posted a name that 'looked' like yours I imagine that would be going throug your mind right now as well. See what I mean now? :)

lol. I completly understand what you are saying.

Thanks for pointing it out in such an... err... rememberable way.

I will send the letter provided by 10past6 on Monday morning, making sure I keep a copy.

Thanks to Merlinexcalibur for pointing out 'general forum guidelines'

I shall keep this thread updated with any progress, in the hope that it may help someone else with the same problem.

    Thanks again.

Yep. Please do not post names on the forum, whether they be yours, another member's, or a random name like this from a letter.

In general that is to protect other people and users.

But specifically here on DFW we know that DCAs like Intrum do read the boards. So any detail that may identify you or anyone else should be doubly avoided.

  • I wrote and posted off the letter given by 10past6 (thank you). I included the original letter I recived. I have photocopies of what I sent off.

I have now reveiced a second letter and getting very worried.

Again, this letter is NOT addressed to myslef on anyone living/ever lived at this residence.

    It says:

'We refer to our previous letter regarding your debt of £XX.XX and to date we have not received payment of this long overdue account.

Failure to settle your account may result in legal action being taken against you and any legal fees and costs being added to your debt.

    What to do next:
You must send payment of £XX.XX immediately.

Full details of hoe to make your payment are outlined overleaf.

We look forward to the speedy conclusion of this matter.

    Yours sincerely

    Intrum Justitia Ltd'

Please advise as I don't know what to do now.

    Thanks

Please advise as I don't know what to do now.
You've informed them the debt is not connected to you, you have proof you've told them.

You've nothing to worry about, if they do take any further action, come back here for advice.

Don't spend anymore time / effort dealing with them.
