Trying to Cancel Orange due to poor Service

This changes the phone from the new 3g network to the old 2g network.
It works well where there is a very weak signal on 3g as the phones prefer to latch on to the new network

If the signal is craap on 2g and 3g then you are fluffed

Thanks, I only have auto or manual. Auto will select the best signal. Or I can fix the phone to orange 2g or 3g.

Both are pretty poor so it doesn't really make a difference.

Hiya, your best off selecting 2g in any area that has a poor signal as the 3g is less dependable. the other thing is , (please humour me and try this) one of the commonest problems when you can see, emergency calls only on a phone is there could well be a speck of dust on the sim, (this is enough to stop normal service on any phone), clean the connectors and the sim with a dry soft cloth, and try again. if this still fails, you can get a signal booster in any phone shop that attaches on to the battery directly. Thanks. What is the signal booster? how much are they? Do I need to take the phone apart?
