I see that v13 is now showing. The gas hasn't changed from v8 - and electricity rates are showing blank waiting to be announced. These are supposed to be 9% less from next month, but anyone want to take a bet that the online discounts will have been cut?

I will take a bet that the discounts have NOT been cut and will remain the same. You are right Electric prices from EON will be an average of 9% less from 31st March but the gas has not been reduced.

You are so right - I've been made to eat my own words here. My total discounts have actually increased from 13.3% up to 14.5%. However, these are the p/unit reductions for me (I am on v8)
    1. 24.476p down to 23.982p - a reduction of 2%
    2. 9.335p down to 9.146p - a reduction of 2%

How does this equate to a reduction of 9%

I just rang Eon as apparently their discount varies region to region. I would recieve a total of 16.1% discount in by area (Eastern) on v13. Which is slightly more than I received before on v12. The primary electricity unit has been dropped from 26.4075 to 22.1865, and secondary 10.8255 to 10.71. The gas price remains unchanged.

I specifically asked if the reduced electric prices included the 9% reduction at the end of the month. The lady told me, 'no, we dont have any details yet as to what products will recieve the cut'. Odd, as I would of though all unfixed tarrif would benefit.

Not necessarily - Eon have only said it will "affect the majority of its residential customers".

Some will win, but going on past history, I feel many will be disappointed

How many Eon customers have a fixed price? Millions? These folk definitely will not benefit, those on variable unit price should see a reduction. If not Im off......

Interesting that the new V13 has been launched to supersede v12 for those on V5 which discounts finish on 31/3 as v13 works out dearer for me than v12 which I now cannot switch to. Overall cost is £25 extra a year on v13 for me than v12 due to lower discounts.
