But the most [im]pertinent points are that in post 5 the representative quotes the inclusion of an energy monitor that is supplied with a dual fuel tariff and suggests contacting the 'Energy Efficiency team'. If it is a dual fuel tariff then that suggests the customer will be heating with gas and their electrical use will be modest. With a monitor, this should trigger an even more modest useage. I would suggest this means for many of the targeted households 50 to 100% of their electricity will cost 45 pence per kWh. Of course if you just use the energy monitor as a paperweight and continue to invite the neighbourhood children round for an Xbox LANfest and a splash in the sauna then your average cost will be a bargain. But for most dual fuel consumers it is a tad more than a tad expensive.0

5830 on gas
its 3 bed house, but we only use the 2nd & 3rd bedroom when OH kid are staying which is once a month these days
when I did the swicth I'd got a years worth of bills with exact usage for comparison ....or at least thats what I tried to do!
