Well, it could be. May have been calculated with estimated reading(s) or you may be being charged as if you have an imperial meter when you actually have a metric one.

Opened our gas bill yesterday, it was £126 for an estimated reading, rang them up with correct reading and waiting for amended bill of £110 to come through post.

Very happy indeed. This is on the Fixed till 2011 rate with British Gas.

Seems very high to me (although London is probably more expensive than Scotland). We have a 3 bed terrace with 2 of us living here, combi boiler & our bill for Oct-Dec was £52 (not had the Dec-Mar one yet but not expecting it to be much more).

Our heating is set to come on from 7-9 and 5-9 each day at 17C (we turn it up if it is very cold which is rarely). 2 showers plus dishes each day.

Mind you I think ours is quite low temperature wise, when we go to other people's houses we feel sick from the heat :rolleyes:
