Comic Relief - do you give?

Just watching Comic Relief - I find it really emotional watching all of those unfortunate souls. As a DFW do you think charity should begin at home and that would be an extra tenner off your debt, or do you give to causes such as today?

I must admit I dont tend to give to Comic Relief or the like. I donate and fundraise for 2 charities at the moment and decided a few years ago to leave it at that - there is so much around these days to donate to that you could go on forever and the charities I support are local and dont have the massive exposure of others.Pay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000

I did just donate £5 because thats all I can afford just now but I have never done it before, same with Children in Need. Donated to both of them this time around - I think it was to do with the fact that I have since have children of my own and I hate to see children suffering, thinking about my two and how they don't know how lucky they really are. I wish I had done it regularly before now.
I have two standing orders set for charities as well but they are always out in our high street for different charities and you can't give to them all.BSC #215/No.1 Jan 09 Club0 -
I donate a little bit of money because i am now debt free. i have donated in the past when i was in debt but i did it by cutting back elsewhere not treating myself that week etc.

I have donated today through work..... Only a couple of quid, but every bit helps.... plus I have spent the whole day dancing and at the last count, our store had raised £1200 just from the collection buckets - so I think I have done my bit.'We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars' - Oscar Wilde0

I'm the same as jenjade, I cut back for a couple of weeks so I can donate a little. So maybe I'll be in debt for a week longer than I might have been, but whats that to the cost of helping someone in real need

I donated a couple of pounds at work and my daughter also took some money to school. Will cut back on the shopping this weekend.
DD wanted to donate more tonight when she saw Dr Who on TV. I said that as she had lost her tooth today the tooth fairy would be visiting tonight, and if she wanted she could give this money. She said that she wanted to give the money to the poor boy who had to care for his parents.
